State of the Farm

Boy, did we enjoy seeing so many of you at the April 11 Open Farm. So good to put names with faces. And wasn’t the county beautiful?

It always happens - coming out of a dry, super-heated summer and a colder than normal winter which included snow on December 4th, Mother Nature has left her protective bunker and exploded with new life. She wants to assure us that she is not only back, but back with a vengeance.  Everything happens for a reason in nature, even when we are unable to discern those reasons.

Whatever the point of putting us through a very tough period of heat, cold and drought, She is letting us know that it was for the long term good by displaying her abundance this spring. I have never seen so many different colors as in the spring flower crop. Simply stunning, and rejuvenating. A little more rain would be appreciated, but who am I to complain? The scenery takes one’s breath away.
